PPP Presentation sb3

Below is the presentation i created for studio brief 3, i decided to illustrate the whole presentation in order to visually communicate who i am as a creative, and the style of my work. Below are each of the slides, and a brief description of what i spoke about during the presentation; i tried to keep the presentation as visual as possible so that the viewers weren't distracted by reading text on the screen.

Within this slide i discussed what has changed in the last year (10 months), in my ppp presentation last year i said how i intended to start up a clothing brand at some point in the future, and now 10 months later i'm running The Prawn Shop. The visuals of this slide are meant to show how my life is at the minute, clustered, colourful and covered in t-shirts.


When discussing what has stood out creatively for my self, i had quite a lot to talk about. I mentioned how many t-shirts I've sold in the last 10 months (over a thousand), the amount of countries I've sold to (which is now actually 21), the magazines and publications I've been featured in such as Love From magazine, The Newcastle University student newspaper and the end of year magazine produced by students on the International Fashion Promotion course as Manchester Met University.
I also briefly mentioned a recent opportunity I've had to sell my t-shirts in a plus sized clothing store in Newzealand. 


This was a very easy slide to talk about, yes my practice has changed, well not changed but it now has a clear focus and direction. I know that combining clothing and design is what i truly love and would like to continue to peruse as a career, and with the way that The Prawn Shop is going, i believe this is achievable.


Within this slide i discussed the importance social media has on my practice. The Prawn Shop began because of social media, and it continues to grow via social media, social media particularly Instagram has played such a big role in my practice that I've decided to write my dissertation based around Instagram's influence on a brands success. I also discussed how effective promotions are.

Within this design i spoke about my plans for the summer. Embroidery; i have been working on a new line of clothing for The Prawn Shop for the past 3 months now, i'm having a shoot in two weeks time and then the collection will be launched, I've tried to really push the brand further this time, i'm hoping that the collection will be a success. I really want to improve the customer experience of my brand, i'm currently working on some custom tissue paper designs to wrap t-shirts in, and i'm also developing a range of stickers to placed within orders. I'm going to Poland for several weeks over summer in the hope of sourcing new suppliers and manufacturers for the brand.
