PPP continues to be one of the most rewarding modules for myself, each week i look forward to the sessions as coming out of them i feel more informed on the business side of things and also encouraged to push my self more.
Life's a pitch, as mentioned previously was really rewarding due to the fact that i worked with new people, this brief has inspired me to work with a variety of people during collaborations next year as it allows me to approach briefs with a variety of ideas and produce a result which shows my design style in a different way.
The ppp presentation went well as i feel as if i had a lot to talk about, which i was very proud of. I also thought my approach to the actual design of the presentation was really appropriate for my practice, and based on the brief feedback i received during the end of my presentation other people appreciated it too, one bit of feedback i received mentioned that from the style of my presentation i showed that i am confident with my self as a designer.
The creative report was a really fun experience, and i'm quite surprised that my favourite illustrator actually participated. This brief has made me realise that i can approach anyone, and i shouldn't be afraid of them saying no, as if i don't try then i will never know.
During summer i intend to continue growing The Prawn Shop brand, i also plan on approaching designers i admire to see if they would possibly like to collaborate on a piece. I intend to make a brand look book and send it off to brands and companies which i believe would suit the brand well.
In terms of my development next year, i intend to do more collaborations and ask for opinions from people i don't normally talk to. If the opportunity for group work appears again, then i will definatly approach new people also.
